Supporting the Youth: Kozybayev University Presents Grants to High School Graduates

Today is an emotional day for 11th graders, their parents, and teachers across the North Kazakhstan Region, as the final school bells ring. This year, 3,642 students are graduating from high school, each stepping into a new chapter of adulthood — a path filled with discovery and achievement. Representatives from Kozybayev University visited 12 schools in the city and nearby districts to share in this joyful and touching moment.

Throughout the year, we carried out a large-scale career guidance campaign to reach as many graduates as possible. Memorandums of cooperation were signed with district akimats and local education departments.

To further support the youth, Kozybayev University — the only multidisciplinary university in the region — initiated the awarding of grants to 14 talented and driven young people who have shown outstanding academic and scientific performance.

During the graduation ceremonies, we presented certificates for free tuition at our university to high school graduates who won or placed in:

* Republican Olympiads in General Subjects,

* Republican Scientific Projects Contest,

* The Kazakh Language and Literature Olympiad named after K. Bitybayeva.

The grants were awarded to students of both urban and rural schools, including:

1. Lycee “BEST”;
2. Regional Specialized Boarding Lyceum for Gifted Children “Bilim-Innovation”;
3. Regional Specialized Boarding Gymnasium for Gifted Children named after Abu Dosmukhambetov;
4. Chkalov Secondary School No. 1 (Taiynsha District);
5. Ozernaya Secondary School (Kyzylzhar District);
6. “Beskol School-College” LLP (Kyzylzhar District);
7. Kenes Secondary School (Shal akyn District);
8. Secondary School No. 25 named after A. Bokeikhan;
9. Regional Specialized Boarding Lyceum for Gifted Children “LORD”.

This university-led initiative supports gifted youth and aims to strengthen the personnel potential of both our region and the entire country. We believe encouraging young talent is key to a sustainable future! And we hope to soon see today’s high school graduates as proud students of our university. Kozybayev University is a true magnet for youth — a place where students receive a high-quality education and genuine support, as well as the chance to take part in cutting-edge research, to intern abroad, develop leadership skills, and build a successful career!
