Schlumberger Foundation announces a competition on a scholarshipfor women. Date of application: until November 9, 2013.
To have a right to apply for this scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Women who are nationals of a developing country or a country with a developing economy. You will not have a right to apply if you have dual citizenship, one of which is the citizenship of a developed country;
- Prepare for a PhD, or doctorate researches in the physical sciences, engineering or related disciplines;
- Studied or applied to the receiving university / Scientific-research institute abroad (applications will be accepted no longer, if man does not addressed to the University);
- Have a wide experience in teaching;
- Showed excellent academic results;
- Can demonstrate active participation in life of faculty and outreach programmes to encourage young women in science;
- Ready to contribute to the social- economic development of your country, returning home and in the region by strengthening the capacities of universities, conducting relevant research, or with specific expertise for considering public policy issues.
