In early October the I Congress of the Kazakhstan National Geographic Society (KNGS) is held at the Nazarbayev University (Astana).
An associated professor of Geography and ecology department of NKSU named after M. Kozybayev, Sergei Pashkov was represented the North Kazakhstan Region. Sergey also was a member of the work group on the establishment of this society. The task of the organization was protection of the national interests of Kazakhstan, the scientific rationale for the rights of every square kilometer. The second area of activity - participation in economic planning , the creation of detailed geographical atlases of all Kazakhstan regions and other.
At the conference our scientist spoke on "Optimizing networks of protected areas in the Northern Kazakhstan in the situation of the sheer agricultural development" on the opening of the congress.
"It is important to engage students in a planned expedition and scientific researches of KNGS, not only of geography, but also related specialties. It will be a very useful experience for young professionals," said Sergey Pashkov.
