A student initiative at the Faculty of History, Economics, and Law summed up the results of the Darmarka fair with an environmental focus
On January 29, 2026, a large-scale environmental fair "Darmarka" was held at the Manash Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University as part of the #StopMusor social project, supported by the Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan.
The event aimed to promote a culture of conscious consumption and resource reuse. During the fair, students from the Faculty of History, Economics, and Law organized a collection of items with clearly defined acceptance criteria. Participants could only donate clean plastic bottles with labels 1 (PET) and 2 (HDPE), books in good condition, undamaged clothing, household items, office supplies, and small electronics in working condition.
Darmarka became a clear example of how simple and accessible actions can turn into a real contribution to environmental protection. The students' initiative showed that environmental responsibility begins with everyday decisions and active participation.
