The winner of the Republican subject olympiad on Geography

The VII republican students' olympiad on geography was held on 26-27 March at West Kazakhstan state university named after Makhambet Utemisov (Uralsk). 19 teams from 15 universities of the country have participated in it. For the third year in a row the winners of the prestigious scientific competition have been becoming the students of the North Kazakhstan state university named after M. Kozybayev. For this once the best student in the rpublic has become Nazym Nikiforov, 3 yeras student of the program 5B011600 Geography. 

"Today specialists, who can take nonstandard decisions, are high demand. One of the directions to create an environment, where develops like this man, is carrying out of olympiad. The fact that the Olympiad generates a special type of thinking is not empty words, and just a game, it's preparation for their future life. Participants develop specific competencies, skills to make decisions in unusual situations" - said the head of the team, associate professor of the department of geography and ecology Sergey Pashkov.

Annually the students' subject olympiads are held in the basic universities of the republic, our students become prize-winners. It's the integral indicators of the assesment and quality of the work of the teaching staff of NKSU named after M. Kozybayev.
