The university's students take part in the anti-nuclear online forum

Thhis year Kazakhstan will celebrate the 25th anniversary of closing of Semipalatinsk nuclear testing ground. on 10 March students of our universities have participated in the Republican youth anti-nuclear online forum "The world baton - to youth!" devoted to this event. The leader of the national anti-nuclear movement "Nevada-Semipalatinsk" Olzhas Suleymenov has made a speech for students of all universitites.

Semipalatinsk nuclear testing ground is done on the territory of Kazakhstan from 1949 till 1989. For 40 years there have been near 500 nuclear weapons tests. on 29 August, 1991 Semipalatinsk nuclear testing ground was oficially closed by the oreder of Nursultan Nazarbayev. On this base in 1992 it was founded the National nuclear centre by the decision of the President.
