NKSU team won the Republican Olympiad on geography again

on April 19-20, 2016 it was held the VIII Republican student subject Olympiad on geography at K.Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University. Olympiad was traditionally held on the eve of the International Earth Day and was designed to identify the best students-geographers of the country.

At this time the competition was attended by 19 teams from 18 universities in all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Olympiad consisted of two rounds. The first round consisted of a series of tests of medium and high complexity, the definition of rare geographic concepts and terms. In the second round it was necessary to demonstrate their mapping skills in imaging the trails of researchers of Kazakhstan nature, to perform tasks on the characteristics of geopolitical and socio-economic processes and phenomena of the modern world.

For the fourth year our University's team on the students of the group F(o)-12 Kakiyeva Albina and Nikiforov Nazim has taken the I place. Last year Nikiforov Nazim had become the winner of this prestigious competition in the individual championship.
