It was held the regional scientific-practical conference "Islam and the Secular State"

What is the role of Islam in a life in secular Kazakhstan? How to balance the relationship between religion and state, where more than 80% of the population are Muslims? Answers to these questions were presented at the Regional scientific-practical conference "Islam and the Secular State".

The spread of Islamic values in a secular society, the formation of new approaches in the information-explanatory work, the development of harmony between religion and state - these issues were discussed by representatives of the Religious Board of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Committee for Religious Affairs, religious community, social and public figures of the North Kazakhstan oblast.

Today, the Religious Board of Muslims of Kazakhstan has a lot of objectives. Some of them is increasing religious competence of the population.

It was formed 2 groups of spiritual enlightenment. The first group consisted of 32 the most influential Islamic scholar of the country. The second group consisted of 295 people, who organize the explanatory work in all regions of Kazakhstan. 

It's not the first time that students of our university become the participants of such events. Among young people there are regular activities on prevention of religious extremism and the maintenance of inter-ethnic harmony.
