The department "Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan" held a scientific and methodological seminar

November 4, 2016  "Assembly of people of Kazakhstan" department held a scientific seminar "Organization of extracurricular activities aimed at the formation of interest in polylinguism", within the State program of development and functioning of languages ​​in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011-2020.

The seminar work was attended by experts of the CSI "Managing for Development of languages of NKR akimat", the representatives of the North Kazakhstan regional Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, teachers of native languages ​​of national revival secondary school complex №17 and teachers- linguists of Petropavlovsk schools, teaching staff, employees and students of the university.

On seminar speakers (Grivennaya L.A. - Head of the "Assembly of people of Kazakhstan" department, Sultanov E.R. - Head of onomastics devision of CSI "Managing for Development of languages of NKR akimat" , Imanov A.K. - Head of the "Pedagogy and psychology" department, Kavun N.P. - a teacher of the German branch of the CSI "SS-complex of national revival №17", Kalganova EA - head of the academic mobility and multilingual education devision, Beysenbaeva A.S. - Deputy Director of the Institute of language and literature) raised the following questions: "Language policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan is the basis of consolidation of the people and the way to the integration of Kazakhstan into the world community", "Implementation of the trinity of languages ​​in NKR", "Extra-curricular work on the formation of interest in polylinguism in national offices of SSCNR №17", "Implementation of ethnopedagogics ideas in the practical application of multilingual approaches in educational work","Trilingual education: state and development prospects in NKSU named after M. Kozybayev","Organization of educational work on the development of interest of students in polylinguism in university".

During the seminar it was presented toolkit "Multilinguism as a basis for stability and development of Kazakhstan society" developed by members of the scientific and methodical association of the "The Assembly of people of Kazakhstan" department (Akhmetov T.A., Tabakova Z.P., Shtro O.G., Tyabus M.A.).

Particular interest was aroused by the "polyglots" - university students and staff (Arystan A. Sh. - Specialist of the academic mobility and multilingual education department, Nazarenko A., Mekhdiyeva A. - students of the specialty "Translation Studies" of TS-13 gr.), who shared their secrets in mastering 5 languages.

The following recommendations were made during the seminar:

- Use of modern techniques in language teaching;

- To expand the forms of out of school / extracurricular activities to develop interest in polylinguism;

- To work with parents on instilling in children the love for the native language;

- To attract students of Petropavlovsk to study native languages ​​through the training of national offices SSCNR №17;

- To acquaint students about the possibility of learning languages ​​at the «Foundation» faculty and their improvement in polylingual groups of NKSU named after M. Kozybayev within career guidance;

- To inform the public in the media about the opening of centers for the study of languages ​​in Petropavlovsk and NKR.
