In honor of the 85th anniversary of academician Manash Kozybayev NKSU held a memorable meeting with student's youth of the region

This year Kazakhstan celebrates 25 years of its independence. Gaining sovereignty gave the country a new constellation of scientists who were able to objectively research the past of the state. They were headed by Manash Kozybaev. In 2003 his name was given to the North Kazakhstan State University. Since the popularization of the historian's activity, respect for his scientific heritage is one of the main missions of the institution.  The academician would have been 85 this year. On the eve of his birthday (16 November) university held a memorable meeting with college students.

The first meeting was held on the basis of Humanitarian and Pedagogical College named after Magzhan Zhumabaev which brought together teachers and students of colleges of the city. Many of them know the name Manash Kozybayev from History of Kazakhstan's school program. He wrote textbooks and manuals, more than 900 scientific publications.

Students could learn more about academician by watching a documentary about Manash Kabashevich, also the guests were presented a book exhibition with the works of the scientist and the books written about him. "In education and training of future historians we always hold up as an example Manash Kozybayev", - said the dean of History, Economics and Law Faculty, Candidate of Historical Sciences Zaure Kartova.

Esil Agricultural College named after Kizatov was the next point of the visit of the university delegation. Timiryazev agrotechnical college students participated in the meeting. They also talked about the life of Manash Kozybayev and was introduced to the activities of the university.

The final meeting was held on November 11 in the Leningrad Agricultural College of Akzhar district. A key point in the celebration of Manash Kozybayev anniversary was an annual international conference "Kozybaev reading" that will be held on November 18.
