International subject Olympiad at M. Kozybayev NKSU

In the year of the 80th anniversary of the university at M. Kozybayev NKSU was held the first in Kazakhstan international student subject Olympiad in agricultural specialties.

Representatives of 3 universities of the Russian Federation and 5 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan came to check their knowledge:

    7. Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University (Kokshetau, RK)
    8. S. Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University (Pavlodar, RK)

Our university was also represented at this Olympiad.

In the Olympiad 60 students took part in three specialties: agronomy, technology of production of livestock products, forest resources and forestry. At the opening ceremony, the Vice-Rector for science and innovation Laura Kairzhanova addressed the students with a welcoming speech. She noted that today a new tradition, uniting the universities of our republic and Russia, is being built.

The competition for the students was held in two rounds. In the first, it was checked the theoretical knowledge of the subject. In the second – practical. Such events unite talented and purposeful children ready to conquer the heights of knowledge, to achieve brilliant results, to be competitive and in demand both in life and in the future profession. By the way, large agro-companies of our region actively participate in the life of the university and help in holding such kind of competitions. Opening the solemn closing ceremony of the Olympiad, rector of our university Serik Omirbayev emphasized that the Chair of Agriculture is developing and plans to open as many specialties in this direction as possible.

The guys were awarded both in personal and team competitions, they were awarded valuable prizes, and the scientific supervisors of the students were noted with letters of thanks. Also, as part of the closure of an important event for our university, the creative teams of the university prepared a bright concert program.
