Meeting of the project consortium "TRUNАK Transition to University autonomy in Kazakhstan"

In November 2018, Karaganda State University hosted a meeting of the consortium of the project "TRUNAK Transition to University autonomy in Kazakhstan" (Erasmus+).

In the meeting of the project management TRUNAK was attended by representatives of 15 local and foreign universities member of the consortium.  From the M. Kozybaev NKSU, the project was represented by the rector Оmirbayev S.M., Director of the Department of Strategy, Quality and Internationalization - Pogrebitskaya M.V., senior teacher of the Department "Roman-German Philology" - Sagitdinova T. K., Deputy Director of the Department Academic Аctivities - Pobezhuk N.Y. During the meeting, the project participants were presented a report on the activities performed to date, a database system for project management Erasmus + CBHE, discussed issues of financing and reporting, discussed the tasks for the further development of the project.

The TRUNAK project is a project of the Erasmus+ programme "Capacity Building for Higher Education" and is funded by the European Commission. The coordinator and grantee of the project is Karaganda State Medical University. The project is planned to be implemented during 2017-2020. The aim of the project is to create a model of transition of Kazakh universities from the traditional form of management to Autonomous Management. The main results will be: the analysis of the existing autonomy of universities in Kazakhstan and the best practices of European universities, the development of a basic model of University autonomy and recommendations for the use of this model in Kazakhstan, the dissemination of experience and research results for the further development of autonomy.
