More than 80 participants, 34 teams from schools and colleges in Petropavlovsk, as well as faculties of our university, all without stopping, look at the monitor screens, where virtual battles of the Dota 2 strategy and the Counter Strike shooter are unfolding.

For the first time in the history of the University, such large-scale and unusual sports were held as part of the Quality Week, dedicated to the digitalization of education.

Schoolchildren tested their skills in Counter Strike, students in Dota 2. Each team had 5 participants. The battle tactics were worked out before the start of the fights, the guys admitted. Spectators and fans watched the movement of animated characters on monitors. Yesterday, virtual tournaments were a simple hobby of youth, today the world community of players totals more than 200 million people, which in popularity puts computer sports on a par with volleyball and basketball.

Next Saturday, teenagers will continue to fight for the main prize of 100,000 tenge in the semifinals and finals of cyber competitions at the M. Kozybayev NKSU.
