Days of Armenian culture in the M. Kozybayev NKSU

M. Kozybayev NKSU is one big family, which includes representatives of 38 nationalities. Armenians are one of the numerous ethnic groups that make up the top ten in terms of the number of students at M. Kozybayev NKSU. As part of the days of Armenian culture dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, on December 3, 2019 at the Department "Assembly of people of Kazakhstan" was held a meeting of University students with representatives of the North Kazakhstan Armenian center "Kentron", where the presentation of the book "Armenians of Northern Kazakhstan". The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the history and culture of Armenia, the biography of famous Armenians of the world, Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan region. Deputy Chairman of the North Kazakhstan Armenian cultural center "Kentron" Malkhasyan S.S. acquainted students with the activities of the center for the preservation of the language, traditions and customs of the Armenian people, the work of the Armenian national Department of the secondary school-national revival complex No. 17. The students shared the history of their families who moved from Armenia to Kazakhstan and found their second homeland here. Students expressed interest and willingness to participate in the activities of the center.

On December 5, 2019, an “Open Stage” was held, an exhibition of folk-applied art and Armenian national cuisine.

Lectures are planned for University students in 3 languages ​​about Armenians and their religious beliefs in the framework of interactive educational lectures - “Halyktanu” and “Ethnicities and Religions of Kazakhstan: history and modernity”.

Thanks to the new concept of the university to strengthen interaction with ethnocultural associations of the North Kazakhstan Regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, students get the opportunity of ethnic identification, communication with representatives of a certain ethnic group, and the presentation of their unique culture to a wide audience.
