Future agronomists met with representatives of Avgust and Ak-Zher 2010 LLP

Practice-oriented learning is a trend of modern education. At the faculty of agricultural technology, students are given theoretical knowledge on the job, with elements of dual training. Children regularly go to agricultural enterprises, get acquainted with new technologies in the workplace, acting professionals. Another form of such interaction is seminars, round tables, meetings with employers, where students ask questions about employment.

On February 13, students of the educational programs "Agronomy" and "Plant protection and quarantine" were able to communicate with representatives of AK-Zher 2010 LLP, which is engaged in growing grain, oilseeds and legumes in the Zhambyl district of the North Kazakhstan region, using technologies of digitalization of plant growing processes and plant protection systems. It is gratifying that the head of the farm Alexander Khitrov and the chief agronomist Viktor Danin, who spoke to the students, are themselves graduates of the AF. Their example is a motivation for future agronomists and technologists to successfully build a career in agriculture, which today is in dire need of specialists.

Managers of the company Avgust, the largest international company for the production of chemical plant protection products, the leader in the market of pesticides, also told the audience about their agricultural enterprise. For many years, Avgust has held a strong position in protecting field crops not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, and other countries.

All the speakers agreed that agriculture is a promising area that is experiencing a new round of development and is more interested in qualified personnel than ever.
