Life is a struggle. The University held an Open regional tournament for the Rector's Cup

More than 80 athletes of the North Kazakhstan region gathered at the M. Kozybayev NKSU for an Open regional freestyle wrestling tournament dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev. 6 teams took part in the competition for the rector's Cup: students from 4 districts of NKR and Petropavlovsk. They competed in 10 weight categories from 48 to 90 kilograms.

Speaking at the opening of the event, the guests noted that such regional Championships can serve as a kind of springboard for young athletes and bring them to a new level of sportsmanship.

This is not the first experience of holding large-scale wrestling tournaments for our University. Last year, the sports club of the University "Sunkar" organized such competitions, the participants of which were famous paluans from 4 regions of Kazakhstan, as well as the capital of the Republic. And the University is not going to stop there. In mid-March of this year, the rector's Cup for kazaksha kures among adults will be held. Wrestlers from all over the country, including Alma mater students, will be able to take part there.
