M. Kozybayev NKSU opens talents - "Latin-karaoke" - 2020

The regional remote competition "Latyn-karaoke" - 2020 was held by the Department of "Musical disciplines" of M. Kozybayev NKSU as part of the implementation of the main provisions of the program for the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to Latin graphics.  The vocal competition was held among University students, students of secondary schools, colleges and institutions of aesthetic profile, as well as young people working in educational and cultural organizations.

Children aged from 15 to 25 years from the North Kazakhstan region, Nur-Sultan and Petropavlovsk took part. They had to choose one of the works proposed by the organizers in the state language with subtitles in Latin, perform it and record it on video. The competent jury assessed not only the level of voice proficiency, artistic expressiveness and purity of intonation, but also the literacy of the pronunciation of the song's text.

A total of 23 vocalists took part in the competition. Each of them was awarded the title of Laureate of the I, II, III degree. This is an act of support by the organizing Committee for gifted, creative and initiative people during the period of quarantine and distance learning.

The Grand Prix was won by a student of M. Kozybayev NKSU of the educational program "Musical disciplines" Kadyrbay Iliyas.
