A new impulse for the development of archaeological science at M. Kozybayev NKSU

The grand opening of the mausoleums of the Golden Horde era in the Kyzyloba area of the North-Kazakhstan region by scientists of our university and subsequent excavations gave answers to many historical questions. In particular, the found gold jewelry, brickwork, household items and the irrigation system, indicate the presence of an urban lifestyle of ancient people in the North of Kazakhstan. Previously, it was believed that only nomadic farming was common here. These studies gave a new impetus to the development of archaeological science at M. Kozybayev NKSU.

Excavations will definitely continue this year. Also, with the participation of students and teachers of the university, research will be conducted in the settlement of Botai (SKO). This was discussed at a meeting of the leadership and scientists of the university with Victor Zaibert.

Victor Fedorovich is a world-famous archaeologist who discovered the unique Botai culture of the world. Where for the first time on Earth a man was domesticated by a horse. He developed close scientific ties with our university: he worked here, conducted joint scientific research, collaborates with our historians and archaeologists. And therefore, a large-scale celebration of the 40th anniversary of Botay culture in July this year will be held, including on the basis of M. Kozybayev NKSU. Also at the meeting, it was decided to create a scientific center for historical and cultural processes at the university, the acting director said. Rector Yerbol Issakayev. To educate its own scientific archaeological school, the university is ready to conduct training for students in the appropriate educational program, to involve young scientists in research.

The North Kazakhstan Archaeological Expedition, led by the professor of our university Anatoly Pleshakov, has long traditions and great scientific discoveries. Every year, our students take part in the excavation of a settlement of the Sak era, Ak-Iriy, near the village of Dolmatovo, last year a group of children went to the Kyzyloba excavation site - all this forms a young people's interest in science. It is important to help them in writing scientific papers, term papers and diploma projects, thus ensuring the involvement of students in historical research, they said at a meeting.
