Completion of the days of culture in the M. Kozybayev NKSU

From September 2019 to may 2020, the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Department held various events in the framework of Culture Days (scientific and practical conferences, lectures, round tables, literary living rooms, "Open" stages, master classes of national cuisines, teleconferences, presentations), which allowed to expand knowledge on the history, culture, customs and traditions of the Kazakh, German, Indian, Armenian, Tatar, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and Azerbaijani peoples.

A special feature of the Days of Polish and Azerbaijani culture was the online format, due to the introduction of quarantine and emergency conditions in the country.

Within the framework of the Days of Azerbaijani culture, online lectures in 3 languages (Kazakh, Russian and English) were held for students on the course "Halyktanu" by University teachers Zylykha Bimakanova, Lyudmila Grivennaya, Natalia Sheveleva, with the participation of the Chairman of the Azerbaijani cultural center of the North Kazakhstan regional Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, Chingiz Kurbanov and the teacher of the Department "Foreign languages", Leila Alekberova. Also, lectures were held in 2 languages (Kazakh and Russian) on the course "Religions and ethnic groups of Kazakhstan: history and modernity" by external experts - Sinyakov O.V. and M.N. Amirzhanov, employees of the center for public education and information of the Department of Internal policy of the North Kazakhstan region. A total of 395 students were enrolled.

In general, thanks to the new concept of the university to strengthen interaction with ethnocultural associations of the North Kazakhstan of APK in the year of the 25th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, students got the opportunity of their ethnic identification. This work contributed to a closer acquaintance with the culture of various ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan and studying at M. Kozybayev NKSU, adaptation of foreign students in a multilingual country, maintaining unity and harmony in the student community and Kazakhstani society. The open format, the variety of forms of work, the holding of events in 3 languages, the involvement of representatives of the ethnocultural centers of the North Kazakhstan Regional Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan to participate in events aroused interest among students. Holding Culture Days at NKSU named after M. Kozybaev had a wide coverage of participants - more than 5000 people.

According to students, in the further department “Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan” it is necessary to maintain the interactive educational lectures “Halyktanu” and “Religions and Ethnicities of Kazakhstan: history and modernity”, expanding the information about new ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan and studying at M. Kozybayev NKSU.
