Future trends: digitalization of educational services, foresights, new competencies of specialists

In the context of the pandemic and the introduction of quarantine in many countries of the world, the need for digitalization of services became obvious. Including in the education system. The rebuilding process involves the development of digital products in this segment. One of the leading experts in this field is Sayasat Nurbek, a representative of BTS Digital.

For the audience of our university, he held an online meeting where he talked about what foresight is, in other words, active forecasts of the development of the situation in the economy, science, business, based on available data. And, based on this, we can model what competencies will be needed by specialists of the new format. This information formed the basis of the Atlas of New Professions of Kazakhstan, developed by Sayasat Nurbek, a project of projected promising sectors and professions for the next 10-15 years. It will help us understand which areas will be actively developed, which new technologies, products, management practices will arise in them and which specialists will be required by employers.

Ultimately, we will be able to gain an understanding of what skills need to be “completed” with existing specialists in the labor market, and offer them a very affordable and applied tool for advanced training. The remote event was attended by the faculty and staff of the university. For them, advanced information in the field of building a career guidance system, future labor market trends, and development priorities for foresight methodology turned out to be relevant and timely.
