Project office "Sanaly urpaq": "Conscious generation-there is a bright future"

The university hosted a presentation of the Project office "Sanaly Urpak". This is a joint initiative of our university and the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in North Kazakhstan region. It was opened at the university in 2018 to maintain a respectable environment, to form an anti-corruption culture among students, to develop a highly moral, responsible, proactive and socially competent citizen and patriot of their country. In addition, the project ensures transparency and openness at Kozybayev University, compliance with the rules of academic honesty and anti-corruption legislation.

This work is carried out by compliance officers of the structural unit. At a remote event, they told the students in detail about how to prevent corruption on the ground, openness in hiring and procurement, and improving the legal literacy of students and employees.

Over the 2 years of work of the Sanaly urpaq project office, a number of initiatives have been implemented: the creation of a bookcrossing zone, the opening of the School of Integrity, and the "Clean Session" campaign. On the website of the university, the online portal "Combating Corruption" has been launched, a competition for the post of student rector, new "Trust boxes" have been installed.

It has become a good tradition to meet the university leadership with students in the foyer of the buildings in the openspace format, where children can directly tell the rector about their aspirations, share suggestions and their successes.
An important area of ​​work is the participation of volunteers in the examination session, who ensured impartial control over its conduct.

An Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2020-2025 has been developed. A working group has been created to monitor social networks to identify corruption risks. Thanks to this, it was possible to block 38 publications containing announcements of the provision of services for writing abstracts, SIW, and the sale of diploma and term papers.

Also, regular monitoring of hostels is carried out in conjunction with the anti-corruption service and youth public associations of the region.

The project in social networks "AdalTALK", containing information on the principles of integrity and fairness, turned out to be useful for the students.
