Opening of the public bookcase of the "BolashaqBooks" project

The official opening of the BolashaqBooks bookcase, organized by the Bolashak Association within the framework of the “Popularization of reading among the population” project, took place at Kozybayev University. It is being implemented in the course of a state grant from the NPLC "Center for Support of Civil Initiatives", with the participation of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

BolashaqBooks is aimed at attracting people to the culture of reading, as well as increasing the level of education of citizens. This socially significant project is expanding its scale this year. Thus, a network of public bookcases will appear in every region of the country; it is planned to install at least 20 bibliographic zones. During the presentation of objects, meetings with famous writers, conversations with book lovers and a competition with valuable prizes are held.

During the event, an autograph session was organized at Kozybayev University with the founder of the Tengricomics publishing house, author of the "Golden Warrior. Tomiris" Bekzat Myrzakhmetov. Guests could ask questions of interest to the author and get acquainted with this new direction for Kazakhstan. This comic strip shows the heroes of Kazakh folklore in a modern format that is relevant for young people.

On the shelf of "BolashaqBooks" were presented books by Kazakh authors, as well as literature translated into the state language under the "Rukhani Zhangyru" program. You can take a book here on the principle of bookcrossing: free of charge, leaving any other in exchange. In addition, QR codes are installed on the cabinets, which must be downloaded to a special application on the phone and read these publications in electronic form.

The project manager of the Bolashak Association, Zhuldyz Dzhunusova, noted that in 2017 a bookcase “BolashaqBooks” was already installed in one of the trading houses of Petropavlovsk, which is still in demand among readers. Now students of the alma mater will be able to exchange relevant literature.
