A worthy reward

The ceremony of awarding medals "25 years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" was held in the House of Friendship. Among the awardees - the head of the department "Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan" of our university Lyudmila Gryvennaya.

The department of APK of Kozybayev University was established on April 28, 2014. Its activities are aimed at promoting the preservation of unity and harmony, the formation of civic identity and Kazakh patriotism among the youth, fostering a respectful attitude to the history and culture of ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan, tolerance and conflict-freeness, expanding the use of the state language and developing multilingualism, carrying out work on adaptation of foreign students, expansion of religious literacy and prevention of religious extremism and terrorism. At the department, a scientific and methodological association and a student scientific society have been created and are effectively working.

During the years of its activity, many new lecture courses and electives were tested, which were conducted in 3 languages ​​(state, Russian and English). About 200 different events are held annually, in which not only students, but also students of colleges, schools of the city and the North Kazakhstan region participate. More than 50 teaching aids have been developed, scientific projects are being prepared. Students undergo practical training at the department of APK, constantly monitoring the level of civic identity, patriotism and religiosity in the university environment.

Thanks to the strategic vision of the department, skillful leadership, the support of a team of like-minded teaching staff, undergraduates, students and representatives of external organizations, including the North Kazakhstan Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the department of APK of Kozybayev University has become one of the best in the republic.

Today it is a kind of center of attraction, which closely interacts with external organizations, with ethno-cultural associations of the city, region and republic. According to Lyudmila Gryvennaya, this high award is a recognition of the merits of the university, in which all conditions have been created for the implementation of the ideas and plans of the department of APK.
