The article of the First President - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev "Spiritual Testament of Abay" was discussed at our university

“The great poet, brilliant thinker Abay became the founder of the era of Enlightenment and Awakening in the Kazakh steppe that began at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, his invaluable heritage became the moral guideline of the people on the way to the future,” Elbasy wrote in his article. He rightly noted that, remembering the life of people of his generation, he is inclined to think that we are all students of the great school of Abay.

The participants of the conference at Kozybayev University agreed with this paradigm. It took place in parallel in offline format and remotely on the Zoom platform. Scientists, philologists, historians and journalists shared their point of view on the new article of Nursultan Nazarbayev. They told their colleagues and students about the influence of Abay on the formation of the Kazakh national code, considered the work of the great poet as a national treasure, discussed the role of the First President in the formation of Kazakhstan's independence through the prism of the article "Abai's Spiritual Testament".

The conference has become a dialogue platform for the exchange of views. The speakers agreed that this article is a definite reflection of Nursultan Nazarbayev not only about a world-famous poet, but also about the historical path that our Motherland has traveled. Peace and stability, which have become the hallmark of Kazakhstan today, were possible with a balanced policy that ran like a red thread through all the reforms carried out in our country under the wise leadership of Elbasy.

At the end of the event, young akyns and students read out their own poems dedicated to the personality and creative heritage of Abay Kunanbayev.
