Erasmus+ Leadership Competence Development and Teacher Training Project

In 2020, Kozybayev University joined another Erasmus+ project - “Development of Skills and Teachers Training for leadership / DeSTT”. 

It will be implemented over 3 years, and is aimed at developing, modernizing curricula for professional development and training teachers in the field of leadership. 11 universities from Europe, Russia, Mongolia and Kazakhstan are participating in it. The coordinator is the University of Cassino and South Lazio (Italy).

The result will be the development of an interdisciplinary modular master's program that combines pedagogical, sociological, psychological, legal, economic and managerial elements, as well as the development of an advanced training program for existing teachers “Leadership Teachers” and the creation of an electronic manual “Teaching Leadership for Teachers”. The project's achievements will be disseminated among the pedagogical community of the region and the country through training seminars and trainings, participation in international and republican scientific conferences.

An Educational Center for Leadership Development was opened at Kozybayev University, designed to become a platform for the design and promotion of socially significant ideas of the local community with the participation of teachers.

The center will perform the following functions: diagnostic, educational and coordination. Work is underway to create a concept for the development of teacher leadership, which will define the concept of leadership, the skills inherent in leaders-teachers, as well as approaches to their development in future and current teachers.
