Erasmus+ project management best practice exchange

As part of the ErasmusDays-2020 celebration, Kozybayev University hosted an online seminar "Erasmus + Projects: Governance, Results and Sustainable Development". The event was organized by the Department of Strategy and Quality of Education and the Center for Academic Mobility and Internationalization. Members of the working groups of projects and partners of the university became participants.

Head of the International Cooperation Department of S. Seifullin KATU Sara Kitaybekova in her speech drew attention to the need to communicate with all projects, create a risk management group, maintain a detailed project journal.

Professor of the Lublin University of Technology (Poland) Marek Milosz, noted that usually a project is a new action and a risk area that may not always be perceived by the team. For the success of the project, it is important to implement it in accordance with the designated plan, focus the results on user expectations, select the right manager, his leadership qualities, and have a control committee.

Andriana Risk Surleva, Associate Professor at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia (Bulgaria) recommended clearly defining the responsibility of participants for a detailed study of project documentation, involving active scientists and students in the work, and including financial and legal departments in working groups.

The results of the seminar were summed up by the first vice-rector of Astana IT University, member of the working groups of projects Serik Omirbayev. He summarized that a very important component of a successful project is everyone's responsibility for the result, active participation of working groups in all work packages and the development of proposals for improving programs and the education system aimed at long-term results.
