Qamqor is an association of caring and responsive students of Kozybayev University

Qamqor is a volunteer movement, which includes about 20 activists, and dozens of caring people support them, united by a desire to help those in need and ready to donate their time, share positive emotions and material benefits. It originated 4 years ago within the walls of the alma mater in a group of students studying in the specialty "Pedagogy and Psychology" of the PF. When the girls came to the first year, their mentor, senior teacher Aigul Aitymova suggested starting to do good and helping others together. The guys themselves immediately took the initiative.

During the pre-quarantine period, students annually organized charity fairs at Kozybayev University, all funds from which went to help those in need. They held visiting concerts in orphanages and boarding schools, the Public Fund "Ana Yi", they came not empty-handed, but with gifts for the children. Not so long ago, we bought a smartphone for a girl from the village so that she could study remotely. They also collected money, food, things for people who were in difficult life situations. More and more university students are taking this path every year, and this is encouraging, they say.

Now, in connection with quarantine measures, volunteers are actively attracting everyone who wants to help through social networks. They have a page on Instagram @qamqor_sku, a well-functioning mechanism of interaction with institutions and public associations of the region, as well as with families that need material support. Transparency is guaranteed. All receipts about the collected and transferred funds are published, as well as photo and video reports.

Volunteers work completely free of charge. But their activity does not remain in the shadows, but is marked by letters of thanks from various departments and organizations. Zhamilya Tuyakbayeva even received the title of Volunteer of the Year. However, they believe that incentives, although a nice bonus, are not the main thing.

Immanuel Kant once said: "The smallest good deed is better than the biggest intention". And our students confirm this by helping others every day, giving hope to people who need it most.
