An employee of the university became a member of the State Commission for the complete rehabilitation of victims of political repression

On behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a State Commission for the complete rehabilitation of victims of political repression was created, which included representatives of the Presidential Administration and the Government, deputies of the Senate and Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of interested state bodies, representatives of public organizations and scientists of the country, 49 people in total. It includes Lyudmila Gryvennaya, head of the department of "Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" Kozybayev University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate professor.

The first meeting of the State Commission chaired by the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Krymbek Kusherbayev took place. The main task is to restore historical justice for all categories of victims of the political repression of the Soviet period. During the meeting, the tasks and organization of the activities of the State Commission, its work plan for 2020-2021, issues of methodological support for the rehabilitation of various categories of victims of repression, and the creation of special working groups were considered.

Of course, the activities of the competent commission should ensure the solution of all accumulated problems and controversial issues regarding this topic, which will create the basis for further work in this direction and will contribute to deepening the process of modernizing public consciousness.
