The problems of studying the history of the Golden Horde were discussed at an international conference at our university

Kozybayev University hosted an international scientific and practical conference "Problems of Studying the History of the Golden Horde: Revealing and Interpreting Historical Sources". The event was held by the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Research "Rukhani Zhangyru" of our university within the framework of the grant project of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic: "Identification (heuristics) and classification of khan labels and letters of gratitude from the Golden Horde and post-Golden Horde states".

The conference program was organized into three sections: identification and interpretation of the sources of the history of the Golden Horde in the XXI century; traditional and new approaches to the study of the cultural and historical heritage of the Golden Horde, the role and significance of its history in the development of statehood.

Famous and young researchers from various scientific institutions, universities of Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey took part in the conference. Leading scientists in the field of source studies, oriental studies and Turkic studies from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Institute of Kypchak Studies, the Republican Information Center for the Study of Historical Materials, Kastamonu University, Gorno-Altai University, L.N. Gumilyov ENU and our alma mater. The speakers tried to systematize various approaches to the study of the cultural and historical heritage of the Golden Horde, to outline the role of historical sources in the Golden Horde era in the XXI century.
