Prize-winners and the winner of CYS competition are named

To stimulate students to engage in science, the Council of Young Scientists of Kozybayev University held a video competition "Remote approach to scientific activity" among students of 1-4 courses. The guys had to shoot and edit a video describing their research work in a pandemic.

Students of three faculties decided to take part: pedagogical, history, economics and law, as well as mathematics and natural sciences. All the works of the contestants turned out to be multidirectional and not similar to each other. Each one reflected the specifics of the students' educational program.

To carry out the procedure for evaluating projects, a commission was formed from members of the CYS, each analyzed the work according to eight criteria. Among them: compliance with the purpose of the competition, the content and integrity of the presented material, substantiation of the problem, the manifestation of independent thinking, a creative approach to the disclosure of the topic, the quality of the work design, scientific component, relevance.

Then an online meeting of the commission took place, where, by deriving the average score for the work, the winners of three prizes were allocated.

The winner of the competition was student gr. F-18 (FHEL) Vyacheslav Chinishlov. He won a cash prize of 45,000 tenge, allocated from the funds of the SMU.

It was decided to award the 2nd place to Daria Kozik, student of gr. HTOV-19 (FMNS). She was awarded 30,000 tenge.

Timur Barmenbaev, a student of the GI-19 group (FMNS), received a III degree diploma. He was awarded a cash incentive - 15,000 tenge.

All contestants were also awarded with acting certificates. Chairman of the Executive Board - Rector for active participation in the intellectual competition.
