Master class "How to write news" was held for student journalists

The seminar for students of the Department of Journalism at the ZOOM site was held on the initiative of the head of the Department of Journalism Aisulu Shaikenova.Salima Istembekova, a practicing specialist with experience working in a newspaper and news agency, demonstrated how news should look like in an online publication.

- Any material has its own structure: header, lid, contents, background, says Salim Islambekova. - In information publications, there are rules for the design of headlines. It differs from newspaper articles in its predicativeness, and should be brief, intriguing, and informative. The lead expands on the idea given in the title. The main part of the news is presented in the content, and in the background we bring out the background, background information, and statistics.

As the journalist noted, the site's news feed covers all areas of the city's life.  It covers social and communal issues, local politics and economy, cultural, sports, and criminal events.

- The sources of information are official agencies, social networks, public organizations, and the journalist's social circle. If there is an information lull in the city, seasonal topics will come to the rescue. Autumn – the beginning of the school year, the heating season; winter-New Year's holidays; spring-landscaping and landscaping, conscription; summer-swimming season, school holidays, etc.

During the meeting, the students ' news notes and articles were analyzed. The guys have been working on the bugs, added their content.- We got a lot of new knowledge, the speaker was pleasant to listen to, she told us about the subtleties of our chosen profession, - says Aida Khamzina, a student of the Zh-19 group.

- The conversation was held in a free form, and we did not miss the opportunity to ask questions. I learned how to write intriguing headlines so that the reader wants to read the news in full.- For us, as students, such trainings are very important. We learn a lot of new and important things about our profession, learn to look for and correct our own mistakes, and learn from competent specialists. I would like to thank the Salem Aslanovna because she spent though not large, but it is very important to us a master class. It was very pleasant and comfortable for us to work together, " added Karina Sarbayeva, a student of the J-19 group.

As Aisulu Zhaksylykovna says, effective interaction of the department and employers is a necessary condition for full-fledged development in the educational process.

- The department has implemented the following tasks: building a practice-oriented system, improving the forms and methods of effective interaction between the department and employers, - said Aisulu Shaikenova.
