On November 10, 2021, a discussion platform on the topic "Quality education – the foundation of a quality life and sustainable development" was held at the Educational Center for Leadership, room 310/5, Zoom-Meeting. The participants of the event were the teaching staff of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, students and undergraduates. The moderator of the event is G.I. Chemodanova, PhD, associate professor.
During the discussion, the participants talked over the issues of the implementation of the 4th Sustainable Development Goal established by the UN for the period up to 2030: "Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and encouraging lifelong learning opportunities for all". This discussion was organized in the context of the DeSTT project “Development of Skills and Teachers Training for Leadership” of the Erasmus + program.
The participants discussed the following issues:
The speakers noted that for the implementation of effective teaching and learning it is of great importance to develop and test methodological material on current actual competencies in the field of leadership to ensure fair quality education.
Participants agreed that quality learning should be lifelong.
In the conclusion, the following prospects for achieving the goal under the question were identified:
- conducting the research on “Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities”;
- providing research results to the scientific community through writing scientific articles;
- raising the professional level of the teaching staff of the department;
- development of professional development program "Teachers as leaders" for school teachers.
