Swimming pool

On May 15, 2006, the construction of an indoor swimming pool of international standards began. Design estimates have been developed by the design organization Luna-Astana LLP and approved by the Committee for Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the following main technical and economic indicators:

• throughput - 120 people in hour;
• total area - 7120.0 square meters;
• construction volume - 48800 cubic meters;
• built-up area - 3420 sq. m

The building of the swimming pool was designed three-story with overall dimensions of 66.4 m x 49.7 m. The project provides for modern technology of water purification and water heating based on automated control systems for these processes. To ensure the necessary competitive and training conditions, all the necessary parameters of the pool (length, depth, number of tracks, starting tables, etc.) provided for by international standards are met. The turnkey construction competition for the swimming pool was won by Stroitel LLP.

In December 2008, the swimming pool was put into operation. The area of ​​the water mirror is 1250 square meters, the volume is 2647 cubic meters. During the competition, 400 people can be accommodated in the stands of the sports facility. The complex has a sauna, a first-aid post, gyms for physical education.

Main goals and objectives

The main goal of the university’s swimming pool is: to provide educational services to university students, to promote their harmonious physical development, and to strengthen students' health.

Tasks

• The implementation of physical fitness work, the development of healthy lifestyle skills, the formation of a persistent interest in sports among students and the public.
• The provision of paid fitness services to legal entities and individuals (population), in accordance with the current Charter of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management of M. Kozybayev NKU from 08.24.2012
