Main goals and objectives

The main objectives of the DS are:

planning and control of the scientific and innovative activities of the university;
the organization and publication of the research work of students and undergraduates, the organization and conduct of scientific events;
increasing the effectiveness of the scientific and pedagogical potential of the university, the organization of research work of teachers and employees of the university;
creation of conditions conducive to the effective use of advanced educational technologies and the experience of attracted representatives of leading Kazakhstan and foreign universities and the development and implementation of Kazakhstan and international agreements, programs, projects and agreements in the field of academic mobility of students, faculty and university staff.

To achieve these goals, DS performs the following tasks:

organization, conduct and development of basic, applied, exploratory research and development, the use of new equipment, technologies and materials;
organization of research activities of departments and laboratories on the basis of state budget funding in the framework of comprehensive, regional and other programs;
organization of research activities of departments in the framework of business contracts with enterprises, institutions, organizations and other business entities;
improving the quality of training of specialists through the active use in the educational process of the results of scientific research, widespread involvement of students in their implementation, the formation of scientific schools and highly qualified research teams;
providing training for highly qualified personnel, retraining and advanced training of specialists based on the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress;
development of promising forms of scientific cooperation with industries in order to jointly solve major scientific problems and expand the use of university developments in production;
development of international scientific cooperation with educational and scientific institutions of foreign countries, participation in the exchange of experience, scientific research, educational, consulting and other work;
the creation of a qualitatively new experimental-production base, the organization of inter-university territorial scientific-production systems in the field of science services, the creation of a scientific and technological park.
