Vereshchagin Vladimir Ivanovich

Vereshchagin Vladimir Ivanovich was born on May 11, 1935. He dedicated his career to science and education, working at the university from 1958 to 2002. His professional activity covered a wide range of roles: from assistant in the Department of Botany at PPI to head of the Department of Botany and chief agronomist at ABS.

The method for determining the viability of buckwheat pollen, which Vladimir Ivanovich developed and published in the journal "Breeding and Seed Production" in 1962, became an important contribution to agriculture and plant breeding. This method helped many specialists improve crop yields and quality.

His achievements did not go unnoticed: he was awarded the "Veteran of Labor" medal, a jubilee medal, the "Home Front Worker" medal, and a medal for university development. These awards highlight his significant contribution to science and education, as well as his dedication to his work.
