Silver University
«Silver University» is a model (a project within the framework of lifelong education) that provides educational programs for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan aged 50 and older, aimed at giving theoretical and practical knowledge, professional skills, and competencies.
“Silver University” operates on the basis of the Institute of Continuing Education of M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University.
The main goal of “Silver University” is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge, professional skills, and competencies to its learners.
Main objectives of “Silver University”:
1) to create favorable conditions for self-improvement, self-realization, and the development of learners’ creative potential;
2) to teach new professional skills and competencies for successful adaptation to modern life, including the use of modern technical tools and information technologies;
3) to promote a healthy lifestyle and increase the level of physical activity of the learners;
4) to create conditions for improving communication skills and enhancing legal and financial literacy.
Important Information About Studying at “Silver University”
A learner of “Silver University” has the right to withdraw from the program at any time. All educational services at “Silver University” are provided free of charge. The academic year runs from September 1 to June 1. Upon completion of the courses, a professional development certificate is issued.

Studies at the “Silver University” may be free of charge or fee-based.
For university staff and retirees:
- 1 course per semester – free of charge
- Additional course – fee-based
For external participants:
On a fee-based basis only.
The tuition fee is determined by a decision of the Management Board.
