Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor
Begenova Bakhyt Еstekenovna was born in Petropavlovsk in 1950, studied at Secondary School No. 1 named after Lenin and graduated with a silver medal. In 1967, she entered the Petropavlovsk Pedagogical Institute named after K.D. Ushinsky for the specialty "chemistry". The young girl was fascinated by her future profession, and she enjoyed spending her free time in laboratories, making her first experiments. Bakhyt Begenova received a Lenin scholarship, was a delegate to the First All-Union Gathering of Students in Moscow. After graduation, she taught chemistry for 5 years, first at the city school No. 12, then at the Pokrovskaya rural school, where for 3 years she served as the deputy director of the school for educational work.
Bakhyt Estekenovna became a university teacher at the Department of Chemistry in 1977. By this time, she was well aware that it was impossible to become a good specialist at a university without scientific research. The years 1980-1982 were her first step into the big science. Having passed the stage of an intern-researcher in the laboratory of ion-exchange resins of the Institute of Chemical Sciences named after A.B. Bekturov and postgraduate studies, Begenova Bakhyt Estekenovna defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Chemical Sciences in 1987. Science required a lot of effort, but years of endless experiments gave good results, and in 2009 the doctoral dissertation "New multifunctional ion-exchange polymers and complexes based on polyamines, vinyl ether of monoethanolomine and glycidyl derivatives of some aromatic compounds" was defended. Simultaneously with the preparation of her dissertation, Bakhyt Estekenovna in 2003-2005 participated in research under a grant from the International ISTC Foundation.
More than forty years ago, Bakhyt Estekenovna crossed the threshold of our university to devote her whole life to it. Begenova Bakhyt Estekenovna went from a teacher to a professor of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies here; she is the owner of the badges: "Inventor of the USSR" "Excellent Student of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (1997); Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences "The Big Gold Medal of the M. Kozybayev NKSU".
The main direction of her scientific work is the synthesis and study of the properties of ionites containing in their composition, along with ionogenic groups, groups capable of oxidation–reduction reactions based on reactive available reagents. Begenova B.E. studied for the first time the kinetics and mechanism of interaction of diglycidyl derivatives of aromatic compounds with polyamines. The ionites synthesized by it are characterized by high exchange and sorption capacity, chemical and thermal resistance, promising for the extraction of non-ferrous metal ions and industrial wastewater treatment. According to the results of the conducted research, Begenova B.E. has co-authored 95 papers, the monograph "Polyelectrolytes and complexes", she has 5 copyright certificates of the USSR, 3 patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 8 innovative patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Bakhyt Estekenovna is a brilliant teacher. A person of inexhaustible energy, she loves inquisitive and persistent students, teaches them to think, search and win, tirelessly instills a love for chemistry, oversees the department's SSS. Despite her strictness, integrity, exactingness to herself and others, and sometimes unpredictability, she is a kind, warm-hearted person, a caring curator who puts a piece of her soul into each student. Probably, students love, appreciate and respect her for these qualities.
For us, Bakhyt Estekenovna is not only a Teacher and Mentor, but also a close, warm person. She is always attentive and responsive. This applies to both professional and everyday issues.
During her time at the University, Begenova B.E. has established herself as a knowledgeable, conscientious teacher. She treats her work creatively, seriously and persistently works to improve her qualifications. Begenova B.E. gives lectures and conducts laboratory and practical classes at a high scientific and methodological level, directs the implementation of diploma and master's works in an accessible and interesting way.
Bakhyt Estekenovna is a modest, tactful and erudite person who enjoys well-deserved authority and respect from her colleagues and students. We, her former students, and at the moment colleagues, are grateful to the fate that gave us the acquaintance with this amazing person!
