The talent of a scientist and the courage of an organizer

Koshekov Kairat Temirbaevich was born on 15.04.1971 in Petropavlovsk. He graduated from Secondary School No. 2 named after S.M. Kirov with a silver medal and in 1988 enrolled the Tomsk Institute of Automated Control Systems and Radio Electronics, from which he graduated in 1993 with a degree in Industrial Electronics.

Koshekov K.T.'s career began on 1.09.1993 as an assistant of the Department of Radio Engineering at the Petropavlovsk branch of the Karaganda Polytechnic Institute, which later became part of the North Kazakhstan State University named after M. Kozybayev. In 1994, Kairat Koshekov completed a one-year scientific internship at the Almaty Energy Institute and entered graduate school at this university. In 1999, he defended his PhD thesis, worked as a specialist of non-destructive testing and diagnostics in the control and testing laboratory of the Kazakhstan Gas Association. In September 2001, he returned to the North Kazakhstan State University named after M. Kozybayev.

During his work at M. Kozybayev NKSU, at various times he held the positions of dean, head of the department. Currently, he works as a head, professor of the Department of "Power Engineering and Radio Electronics".

In 2007, K.T. Koshekov was awarded the academic title of associate professor in the specialty "Instrumentation, metrology and information measuring devices and systems". In 2010, K.T. Koshekov successfully defended his doctoral dissertation "Theoretical foundations, methods, models and means of identification measurements of signals of technological processes" at the K. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University, specialty 05.13.06 – Automation and control of technological processes and productions (by industry).

Koshekov K.T. is actively engaged in research work. He has published more than 160 scientific papers. Kairat Temirbaevich is a leading specialist in the field of information technology, the main direction of his research is related to identification measurements, intelligent information and measurement technology and digital signal processing and automation technology of experimental research. He is the author of 10 copyright certificates and innovative patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Koshekov K.T. is the founder of the scientific school for applied research of identification measurements and digital signal processing. Under his scientific supervision, Nabiev N.K. and Ritter D.V. defended their PhD theses.

Koshekov K.T. is the holder of the state scientific scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for scientists and specialists who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of science and technology for 2010 – 2012. Kairat Temirbayevich is a scholarship holder of the state scientific scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for talented young scientists for 2006 – 2008, the holder of the state grant "The Best university teacher – 2010", the winner of the first degree award of the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region "For contribution to science and scientific achievements" in 2004. In connection with the 70th and 75th anniversary of M. Kozybayev NKSU, he was awarded diplomas of the Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region.

Koshekov K.T. is closely connected with manufacturing enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan: expert of JSC "National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise", expert consultant on strategic monitoring objects of the consulting firm "ProfiConsult", member of the Board of Directors - independent director of JSC "Petropavlovsk Heavy Machinery Plant" (Petropavlovsk).

Koshekov K.T. is a good organizer. Under his leadership, the PhD doctoral program was opened at the university in four specialties: 6D075100 – "Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Management", 6D071900 – "Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications", 6D071800 – "Electric Power Engineering", 6D071200 – "Mechanical Engineering", he is the supervisor of 5 PhD doctoral students. Koshekov K.T. – Chairman of the Dissertation Council for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of PhD at the M. Kozybayev NKSU, as well as a member of the Dissertation Council at D. Serikbayev EKSTU. In 2016, he was a member of the expert group on awarding state and nominal scientific prizes; he was the chairman of the SAC at the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin for the certification of undergraduates in the specialty 6M071900 – "Radio engineering, electronics and telecommunications"
