Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor
Vladilen Vasilyevich Polyakov was born in 1944 in Alma-Ata, where he graduated from Secondary School No.4. In 1961, he entered the Kirov State University for the specialty "chemistry". The future chemist did not make a mistake with the choice of his specialty and already in his student years actively engaged in scientific experiments. After graduation, the young specialist was sent to the Guryev Institute of Petroleum Chemistry and Natural Salts. Then, as a senior engineer, he was accepted to the Department of Chemistry of Natural Compounds of KazSU, and was soon transferred to the position of senior researcher. In 1975, Vladilen Vasilyevich Polyakov defended his PhD thesis and moved to teaching as an associate professor.
In 1982, V.V. Polyakov moved to Petropavlovsk and connected his life with the Petropavlovsk Pedagogical Institute named after K.D. Ushinsky. At the Department of Chemistry, he worked his way up from associate professor of the department to professor and vice-rector for Scientific Work. From 1985 to 1996 he was the head of the Department of Chemistry. In 1999, V.V. Polyakov defended his doctoral dissertation.
Doctor of Chemical Sciences Professor V.V. Polyakov gives all his strength to science. This is one of the most productive scientists of the Manash Kozybayev NKSU, a world-class scientist, who created his own scientific school. The professor is convinced that the landscape of a person's place of residence affects both human health and can cause his ill health. But the great wisdom of nature lies in the fact that next to the disease there is always a cure for it. A person has only "the smallest thing" left: to discover the secret of nature and learn how to use its gifts.
The scientific research of V.V. Polyakov and his students is aimed at solving an important problem for our region – the fight against oncological diseases and tuberculosis. Balsamic poplar is used to create biologically active preparations. The result of numerous studies and experiments was the technology of obtaining oil from poplar buds, its properties turned out to be unique. It inhibits the growth of tumors up to 65%, strengthens blood vessels, tones, analgesics, treats periodontal disease, serves as an excellent deodorant. The preparations "Topolin" and "Efmatol" were obtained from it. These drugs have successfully passed clinical trials as antitumor, wound healing and antimicrobial agents. The drugs were introduced in medical institutions of Almaty, Karaganda, Astana and Petropavlovsk. The discovery of these drugs is a great contribution of chemists to the improvement of the population of Northern Kazakhstan.
V.V. Polyakov is the author of 265 printed works, the owner of 13 copyright certificates of the USSR, 9 patents, 2 monographs, 5 textbooks. His discoveries have been published in various scientific publications: "Study of the chemical composition of the extract fraction of meadowsweet" in the materials from the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual problems of science and education in the field of natural and agricultural sciences". – Petropavlovsk, 2016. "Medicinal phytoplenks – a new dressing material", International scientific and practical conference "Kozybaevskie readings – 2015"; "Prospects for the development of science and education". – Petropavlovsk 2015,; "Method of growing spring wheat seeds" – Innovative patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan, No. 30299. Byul. No. 9 dated 09/15/2015; "Unique medicinal preparations based on poplar buds", – Kazakhstan Pharmaceutical Bulletin; prospects for the use of balsamic poplar preparations in medical practice, International Scientific and Practical Conference "Achievements and prospects for the development of Phytochemistry". – Karaganda, 2015; Polyakov V.V., Prospects for the use of balsamic poplar preparations in medical practice, International Scientific and Practical Conference "Achievements and prospects for the development of phytochemistry". – Karaganda, 2015.
During his fruitful work Vladilen Vasilyevich Polyakov won grants: 1997 – "Production of natural preparations based on poplar oil and synthetic analogues of natural polyphenols based on miretsin"; 2002 – "Creation of an installation for the production of poplar essential oil and development of technological regulations. Clinical study of preparations from balsamic poplar and birch"; 2007 – "Development of substances and dosage forms of highly effective competitive medicines from balsamic poplar, development of regulations for their production taking into account GMP requirements.
In the period from 2009 to 2015, V.V. Polyakov led the scientific research "The effect of poplar as a stimulator of plant and animal growth". The achieved results have been implemented in the field breeding and animal husbandry of the North Kazakhstan Region.
For his great contribution to the development of science, Professor V.V. Polyakov was awarded the badge "Excellent Student of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the medal "10th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the badge "For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan". Vladilen Vasilyevich's students successfully work in schools and other institutions in Kazakhstan, Russia, the USA, Germany, Australia.
