We continue to improve the level of knowledge

The Department of the "Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" Kozybayev University organized 3 educational express courses in an online format on the following areas: learning the Kazakh language, psychology and volunteering. The listeners were schoolchildren, members of the republican unified children's and youth organization "Zhas Ulan", college students, students and teachers of Kozybayev Universiy, Astana IT University, South Kazakhstan University named after Mukhtar Auezov, Pavlodar Pedagogical University, employees of all structural units of the AIC, employees of youth resource centers, akimats and SPAs, scientists from Russia (Saratov, Tomsk). There are about 145 people in total.

The first was the 12-hour express course "Accelerated Kazakh language". It was held by the head of the department "Practical Kazakh language" Tatyana Akhmetova. During the classes there were identified the main conditions for successful, independent learning of the language. The listeners identified 7 grammar rules and simple speech clichés that everyone needs to know. The study of the material was carried out through the cultural aspect, i.e. participants, along with the language, got acquainted with the peculiarities of the Kazakh mentality, traditions and customs.

The name of the second 6-hour express course is "Psychological Aikido". Aikido is the only kind of martial arts without harshly attacking destructive forms of behavior. All the strength and negativity of the opponents are expressed very correctly, softly and painlessly. This method of resolving conflict situations in social life was also taught to the course participants.

The training was carried out in two stages. At the first, there were considered theoretical issues of conflictology: what is it, what types of conflicts exist and how to deal with them? Participants learned on specific examples to resolve negative situations and get out of them with minimal losses. “Students are ready to achieve their goals in any way, up to the manifestation of aggressive behavior. And such psycho-preventive measures can teach them to control their actions, make constructive decisions and prevent the emergence of conflict situations,” says Pavel Moiseev, lecturer, the head of the Psychological Service of Kozybayev Universiy.

The final was a 5-hour course by Astana IT University teacher Bogdan Petrov "How to become a volunteer?". The basics of volunteering, its legal norms and code of ethics - this is only a small part of the topics that the participants revealed. They were interested in Kazakhstani and international projects for the development and support of young people who provide gratuitous assistance to others. Many students have learned about the existing myths about volunteers and their work. They also discussed the connection between volunteering and charity, the concept of “being a volunteer”, what qualities one should have, why the younger generation should be motivated, and much more.

Participants received a lot of positive emotions and knowledge that will be definitely useful in life. As a result, everyone, who completed all three express courses, was awarded certificates.
