Research in the field of natural sciences and mathematics was discussed at the university

Kozybayev University organized the X International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems of Mathematics and Natural Sciences". This year it was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Associate Professor R.A. Akberdin. Rifkat Abdullovich has been working in our alma mater for more than half a century. He has worked his way from a teacher to the head of the Department of Mathematics. He has trained thousands of young professionals. He has made a huge contribution to the development of Soviet and Kazakh mathematical science. The monumental work "Graph Theory" written by him is a basic textbook in domestic universities. In total, he published over 100 educational and methodical works. Rifkat Abdullovich also took an active part in the conference.

The plenary session was opened by Damel Mektepbayeva, Member of the Board for Innovation, Internationalization and Transformation. In her speech, she noted the merits of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Kozybayev University. The academic staff of the FME is actively working on scientific projects within the framework of grant funding by the CS MES RK for applied and fundamental research. In 2018-2021, faculty scientists won five grants totaling 165 million tenge.

Topical issues of health protection, priority areas for the professional growth of a mathematics teacher, a combination of theoretical and practical training in teaching the methodology of mathematics to students of non-pedagogical areas and other topics were discussed in this event. The international conference was organized jointly with Altai State University, Surgut State Pedagogical University, Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (RF).

Reports were received from scientists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Russia (Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Tyumen, Perm, Barnaul and other cities). Further, the work of the participants continued at breakout sessions in the following areas: "Actual problems of science and education in the field of chemistry", "Ecological and geographical research", "Modern problems in the study of biological systems", "Theory and methods of teaching computer science, mathematics and physics: innovative approaches".
