Young people proposed effective referendum mechanisms

Open show game in the form of a debate "Continuity of Generations" was held at Kozybayev University. Such a name is not accidental, because it was attended by several generations of young people from schoolchildren to leaders of public organizations. Accordingly, the age of the debaters ranged from 15 to 26 years. Four teams gathered at the site. Guys discussed a theme of the forthcoming referendum in Kazakhstan and offered various mechanism of its carrying out. They fervently defended their ideas and analyzed outbursts of their rivals.

"The resolution of this debate was offered to the participants the day before the event, as one of our goals is to teach young people to think critically. In such a short time they had to read through all the information and form their own point of view," said Rustem Armanov, head of For the Future of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the game, listeners were able to vote online via google form for the team that convinced them more than others. As a result the 4th place was taken by a team of students of the North Kazakhstan vocational and pedagogical college. Third place was taken by students of the NIS, second place was taken by the team "The North Remembers". Our students, the "Shyn" team, won the debate!
