We are pleased to announce a competition for the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the first half of 2023 (based on the results of winter examination session of 2022-2023 academic year)

Dear students!

Competition for awarding a scholarship of the President of RK is held on the results of winter examination session of 2022-2023 academic year, according to the Rules of granting scholarships established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by order of the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan dated April 7, 2011 № 136.

Candidates for the appointment of the Presidential Scholarship are nominated by the councils of faculties, on the proposal of dean's offices or by self-nomination.

Requirements for applicants:

1. The scholarship is awarded to full-time students from the 3rd year and masters students from the second year who study only with "excellent" (A, A-), both on the basis of state educational order and on a paid basis.
2. When granting a scholarship, the following achievements of the applicant are taken into account, confirmed by documents:

1) wins in national and international Olympiads, creative competitions, sports competitions, festivals or availability of author's discoveries, inventions;

2) publications in collections of scientific works, in republican and international scientific magazines;

3) results of scientific-research work, successes of which are confirmed by diplomas, certificates;

4) active participation in social, cultural and sports life of the university.

The procedure for the selection of applicants:

1. The applicant submits the package of documents according to the list to the Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs. The Deputy Dean shall check the applicant's documents for compliance with the requirements and submit them to the Bursar's Office for consideration by the Commission;
2. The Commission analyses the submitted documents for further consideration at the meeting of the Academic Council of the University.
3. The selection is carried out in the order of compliance with p.1 and p.2 specified in the Requirements for Applicants. Under equal conditions, preference shall be given to:

• orphans and children left without parental care
• children with disabilities from childhood, children with disabilities.

1. The Academic Council decides on the awarding of the Presidential Scholarship individually for each applicant.
2. Appointment of the scholarship is carried out by order of the Chairman - Rector of the NKU named after M. Kozybayev on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council.

Documents will be accepted until 28 February 2023, 6.00 p.m.

List of documents for participation in the competition:

1. Application of the student in the name of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the SKU named after M. Kozybaev for participation in the competition for the scholarship of the President of Kazakhstan (Application template for the PS (Russian), Application template for the PS (Kazakh);
2. A copy of a document proving the identity of the student;
3. Transcript for the whole period of study with all signatures and the seal of the University;
4. Photocopies of documents confirming the applicant's achievements (diplomas, certificates, letters of appreciation, etc.).
