Planting the Kozybayev University campus

The university campus is constantly being modernized. The space for study and recreation is becoming more comfortable and eco-friendly. Students have already managed to appreciate the mini-arboretum, which has developed behind the first corpus and a new alley near the ELC. And now the green spaces of the campus have increased by another 50 trees. Among them, along with the usual birches, firs, oaks, and pines, apples, pears, apricot, and even the rarest black alder appeared.

The seedlings were planted with the financial support of the PO "National alumni network". This is an organization that supports graduates of US exchange programs. The office is located in Astana, and there are regional leaders in the provincial centres. One of them is our graduate Alexander Danchev. He came up with the initiative of greening his alma mater: "On this day, Arbor Day is celebrated in America, which is aimed at attracting attention to gardening, creating a comfortable urban environment. And today, on the territory of our university, with the support of the US Embassy, we are planting seedlings: 44 on the main square and 6 near the third corpus."

The event involved the administration, teachers, and students of the university, activists, and eco-volunteers of Petropavlovsk. Such cases go down in history because even after decades the trees planted here will delight the citizens.
