An evening in memory of Zinaida Petrovna Tabakova was held at the university. She was a famous scientist, teacher, professor, Doctor of Philology, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, honorary citizen of the North Kazakhstan region. As a wise mentor, she was able to leave an indelible mark on the lives of many of her students and colleagues.
This evening, labor veterans, teachers, journalists, writers, representatives of government agencies and the public who were lucky enough to work with Zinaida Petrovna shared their memories. Acting Chairman of the Board – Rector Renata Apergenova told about the main milestones of Zinaida Tabakova's busy life, creativity and personal communication.
Zinaida Petrovna Tabakova passed away on January 18, 2024 at the age of 86. This is an irreparable loss for the alma mater. She worked at the M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University for more than half a century, and for many years headed the Department of Russian Language and Literature. She initiated the opening of a new specialty for the university – Journalism. She worked until the last days of her life and shared her rich experience with students.
She made a huge contribution to the development of science in Kazakhstan. Each of her works on ethnopoetics, linguoculturology and other topics aroused great interest among the scientific community. The scientist has more than 300 scientific papers.
During the evening, the portrait of Zinaida Petrovna was formed from memories, where each of the speakers added their own colors in the form of personal stories, sincere emotions and warmth. At the end of the meeting, Zinaida Tabakova's son Viktor Gennadievich thanked the university for a warm evening, words of respect and love expressed to his mother.
By the decision of the University's Academic Council, auditorium 258 in the third academic building were named after Zinaida Tabakova.
