For the first time, a competition for professional excellence called "Best Practices of Professional Achievements of a Special Education Teacher" was held at the university. The event was organized by the Department of Special and Social Pedagogy. Speech therapists, defectologists, surdo-tiflo- and oligophrenopedagogues from the Tainshinsky, Akzhar districts of the North Kazakhstan Region, and Petropavlovsk, with at least three years of professional experience, participated, totaling 26 individuals.
Initially, during the distance stage, participants had to develop presentations on their effective methods and technologies for working with children with special educational needs. Later, within the university premises, they demonstrated their competencies in inclusive education in a video format. The winners were determined by a jury consisting of members of the university's PPS and practicing educators from the North Kazakhstan Region based on the total points from both stages.
As a result, Almagul Kossembayeva took first place. Yulia Khabibulina and Vadim Grebenkin took second place. Marina Sherstobitova, Dina Mazhenova, and Svetlana Tsvetun also entered the top three. The competition was organized to support the professional and personal growth of special education teachers, to encourage their innovative developments, and to foster their creative initiative.
