We never tire of celebrating the successes of our pentathletes! This time, they showed outstanding results at the Kazakhstan Indoor Pentathlon Championship. The republican tournament took place from March 5 to 10 in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Five students from Kozybayev University participated, representing the North Kazakhstan Region as part of the national team. Displaying excellent athletic qualities, our students secured 3 gold, one silver, and one bronze medal!
The best result was achieved by Nikita Izotov, who won two gold medals: in the age category of 21-23 years and in the overall championship. Thus, Nikita became the strongest pentathlete in Kazakhstan! But that's not all! The athlete set a Kazakhstan record by running 2000 meters indoors in 5 minutes and 43 seconds!
Arsen Khamzin also won a gold medal, competing in the 18-20 age category. Yulia Bezugko, a third-year student, won the "silver" in the 21-23 age group. She met the sports master candidate standard and set a personal record in the 1000-meter run. Yulia Kret also set a personal record in the same discipline and ultimately won the bronze. Arkadiy Yesman took 5th place.
The athletes are coached by Alexander Vladimirovich Naumov, who continues to excel among veterans. Another victory confirmed the athlete's success. He won the Kazakhstan Championship for the 51st time! Congratulations! We are proud!
