One country – one book

An action “One country – one book” is held at all libraries of state, also at our HEI for the seventh time. Its aim – popularization of Kazakh literature. In this year it devotes to Fariza Ongarsinova’s collection of poetry “Daua”.

Students and teachers of the Kazakh philology department, staff of the library complex of NKSU took part in this event.

A film about F. Ongarsinova’s life and works were showed, her poetries and also works devoted to the famous poetes to the audience.

Besides the poetic gift, Ongarsinova showed herself as a talented translator, a public figure. It is important to note, it is she who is the first originator of holding the action “One country – one book” in Kazakhstan. Each year the fund of Unesco chooses the author, whose heritage was the value for the world and Kazakh literature. It instills in young people a love of reading the works of our poets and writers.
