The round table devoted to the North Kazakhstan region 80-th anniversary was held in university

This year our North Kazakhstan region celebrates its eightieth anniversary. The round table devoted to this event was held in university.

A round table was organized by the Bolashak branch of Nur Otan party. The event was held under the name "Region History is Country History". Students, teachers, local historians and employees of state archive gathered in the hall. The development of the region for eight decades became a main subject of a meeting.

A round table participants remembered history of our region and its formation. Since the Kazakh ASSR our area changed its name and borders more than once. At first it was called Akmola province, then Kyzylzhar district, later Petropavlovsk area and Karaganda region.

Both in the Soviet power and in days of independence, NKR remains the important region of the country considering an advantageous geographical location, both railway and automobile traffic interchanges and in particular a contribution of an agrarian sector and industry to social and economic development of the republic. Now the North Kazakhstan region is an investment attractive region, a leader of the country in agricultural products production. Important fact remained that  this area where more than 130 nationalities live in peace.
