On June 25, 2013 celebration ceremony in honor of BOTA Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) graduates took place in Almaty.
TAP graduates as well as the following foundation partners – educational institutions, representatives of the World Bank, and IREX – participated in the ceremony. The ceremony was held in the Assembly Hall of Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev.
At present, 7 TAP Scholarship winners study at North Kazakhstan State University named after M. Kozybayev. The first intake of students was in 2009 and only one scholarship recipient studied at the University. In 2010, 3 TAP Scholarship winners entered NKSU named after M. Kozybayev. In the 2012-2013 academic year third-year students, TAP Scholarship winners, continued their study at NKSU. In 2013, Meruert Zhumatayeva will graduate from the University (“Geography” specialty), and in 2014, Kuralai Alimbayeva, Nazgul Bekmagambetova (“State and local management” specialty), Gulzhainar Alzhanova (“Social pedagogy and self-knowledge” specialty), Galiya Arykova, Diana Melikhova (“Kazakh language and literature” specialty), and Ainur Sipeyeva (“Fundamentals of Law and Economics” specialty) will complete their study.
Students take an active part in social activities and have outstanding achievements in their study. All scholarship winners, students of NKSU, finished the academic year with excellent (N. Bekmagambetova, G. Alzhanova) and good (M. Zhumatayeva, A. Sipeyeva, K. Alimbayeva, D. Melikhova, and G. Arykova) results. Many of them are the participants of scientific conferences (N. Bekmagambetova) and are very responsible to the foundation’s commitments. Some of them are volunteers and help needy schoolchildren, arrange cultural events for veterans, etc.
